Southside Lofts

CityScape Development contacted Polis Studio early in 2003 to design a multi-family residential facility in the Southside District. The site is at the corner of 16th and Williams Streets, adjacent to an historic church and a new K-5 elementary school. The team felt the site was an appropriate opportunity to increase the density of the neighborhood, while maintaining the urban scale of the context. The site is 70' x 140' and the developers sought between 14 and 20 units. Polis Studio led a schematic design process that began with programming and balancing site density with available parking. We engaged Annteriors to assist with interior finish and fixture selections. The design team prepared a marketing brochure for pre-sales information. The project remains conceptual due to financing difficulty.
